Whether getting back to, or starting from scratch, our Fit Over 50 program focuses on optimizing the key components of fitness: endurance, strength, balance and flexibility. Most peoples’ health goals after fifty are to be both “physically and mentally independent” rather than fitting into a certain jean size. Who doesn’t want to feel great so they can perform optimally in their careers, travel with ease of movement, and enjoy leisure time with grandchildren? The trick is to attach “meaning” to your fitness goals and do the work, step by step.
We will start with a proper fitness assessment. These results will help us to create a specific program that focuses on you and your goals. As we get older we move differently. The way we sit, walk, run, sleep, and work, etc., adds up to a body that develops restrictions in movement. The underlying cause is tight muscles, and the overall impact restricts movement and can leave us experiencing pain and feeling old before our time.
Our 8-week – Fit Over 50 Program will improve overall fitness with a special focus on posture, mobility, balance and strength. Posture and motion can affect not just your life expectancy but all your quality of life. Poor posture leads to loss in height and ultimately causes physical restriction of the lungs and abdominal organs. The net impact is a significantly greater risk of cardiovascular disease, stroke and respiratory mortality. It not just about living longer, it’s about living better!

Golf Fitness Program:
For the more serious golfers, conditioning can no longer be seen as an unnecessary add-on to your practice routine. In order to improve performance in any sport, training must be specific to the demands of the game involved. Of the few golfers who do appreciate the importance of physical training, most still make the mistake of following a general fitness routine.
If you want hit every shot consistently further you need to take a different approach. Not a more complicated approach. Not a more time-consuming approach. A more golf-specific approach. Our Golf Fitness Program has been formulated from research conducted at the USGA Research & Testing Center.

We offer thirty-minute, custom-designed one-on-one sessions.
Heart FIT is designed for individuals at high risk for or with a history of cardiac disease. This exercise program offers continued support by our degreed exercise physiologist who will assist you in maintaining a healthy lifestyle. Candidates for this program include individuals with documented cardiac disease, heart surgery, and previous participation in an outpatient Phase III cardiac rehab program or at increased risk for heart disease.
Program participants receive:
- Non-cardiovascular fitness assessment
- Blood pressure monitoring
- Program oversight by an exercise physiologist
Whether you are going through treatment or have completed treatment, it may be time for a special program that can improve health and wellness, rebuild strength and stamina, and make you feel healthy again.
Cancer-Related Fatigue Program Through multiple research studies, evidence shows that low to moderate exercise in oncology patients can reduce and even prevent cancer-related fatigue, reduce side effects of chemotherapy and radiation, improve quality of life and possibly even improve survival rates. This program is designed for individuals diagnosed with any stage of cancer who are experiencing fatigue or weakness, or are unsure how to initiate exercise. It is appropriate for anyone currently undergoing chemotherapy or radiation therapy, or who has completed cancer treatment.
In August of 2009, The New England Journal of Medicine reported the results of the largest study to date on exercise and cancer. The study found that weight lifting doesn’t make cancer symptoms worse, but actually reduces fatigue and chemotherapy’s toxic effects. Several other benefits have been documented, including:

Rehabilitation is a key component often missing in the treatment of breast cancer. The Pink Ribbon Program has been created to enhance recovery for breast cancer patients. The program helps stretch and strengthens shoulder, chest, and back allowing the patient to improve range of motion and strength to those areas most affected by breast cancer surgery, treatment and reconstruction.
